Imagine driving down the road from work while trying to weave through rush hour traffic and suddenly one of your favorite old school rap songs came on the radio. As the song fades, your usual fun loving, knee slapping radio personality rings in with a somber tone. “I’m sorry ladies and gentlemen,but Heavy D died today. The year was 1992 and I was still trying to master the phrase “diddly-diddly-diddly D” I can still remember seeing his videos with “The Boys” doing their hard to replicate dance moves. But today he died at age 44…….. He will be missed. To be honest, his one of the first to make me want to be apart of this craft.
