Greetings to all in the living land of Twice. I am your faithful leader and will be conducting tonight address. What do we really know about home? Have you ever found a stash of your dad’s pornos or found out your mom used to pose nude? Well apparently nothing is different in the world we live. Now if you thought I was going to complain about our government and how our president was incompetent, then you are wrong…….but….. I will give you a clear snap shot on the world (political events wont be included). The first topic is strangers. Strangers, or friends you haven’t met depending on your view. If you grew up like me (happy go lucky but in a poverty stricken neighborhood) then you find yourself in a weird place a lot. But this place is excellent for viewing and observing. You find yourself extending your friendship to people who don’t deserve it often. You are good to people and they are terrible to you; and sure you are terrible to a few people but it wont become your theme music. You may feel depressed because what you feel inside doesn’t match what you see. You feel people should use honor and respect in all aspects of life but you find that people lie and cheat at times when they don’t have to. Now you might say “why is it this way” or “people are messed up” but if can remember the famous Eddie Murphy movie “Trading Places” in which two rich men placed a bet about a ruffian they encountered. The ruffian was taken of the street to a mansion. There he was told that this was his home and that he owned everything in it. At that point he literally stole from himself. That showed a lack of trust that was developed from a life time of conditions. Those same two men where portrayed as homeless men in “Coming To America”. now that brings me to the phrase “Circle of Life” and no i didn’t smoke some kush and watch The Lion King but i am referring to two age old prases: “What goes around comes around” and “there is nothing new under the sun”.Both are emphatically true. But what is missing is that we all create the patterns in which we endure. People who create situations never understand how those situations can be imposed upon them. The result is a world full of people who don’t trust each other. With fear being the leading emotion, it is rare that people do the “right thing”. People who actually do the right thing are met with a bombardment of feelings that insist that they are out of place and should “doest as the Roman doest”. This creates a pattern in which people eventually feel comfortable doing the wrong thing….. For instance, i am sitting in a bar right now full of white people. A black man sat at the bar and subconsciously I have watched him sine he arrived. Checking for signs of things I have seen in the past. That is something that happens automatically in my brain to protect my physical well being. Now this guy may be a guy just like me, but before we have even spoke, there is some division due to fear. There can’t ever be any uniting while there is division. I wont pummel you with words this evening, but I implore you to do some local research for yourself. Go out and people watch…….you will soon see. Peace be unto you all.
