10 Jun What Dreams May Come
So, do you have what it takes? For what u may ask. The answer is do you have what it takes to follow a dream. As fleeting as they may seem, as impossible as it may appear, do you have it? A dream, an aspiration, or maybe a goal. Today’s human condition is outlined by fault and shortcomings as much as it is by beauty and creativity. The ugly part is that beauty and creativity are overshadowed. I mean after your New York’s studio apartment’s lights become 3 months past due, could you still find the motivation to paint the unconscious beauty of a dream deferred? “They” say that you don’t fail until you give up. “They” say that you are always 3 feet from gold, but do you believe “them”? For someone starring at the grey cloud studded world through an artists eye’s, this a constant battle. After all in today’s Global circus there is little room for ideals and concepts that make the heart dance. To some, an aspiration or dream may be the only thing between life and a self inflicted gunshot wound. Not to mention that a great artist is usually recognized some time after his or her funeral. Lets take our Starry Night friend Vincent Van Gogh (pronounced Van Gock). He lived a very poor life and ate lead until his brain suffered. He also rumored to use his own blood in a final painting after cutting his own ear off. He suffered the artiste blues. Pouring your soul out everyday only to be met by the drudgery of Earth life. Of course he became of the most renowned in his field. With this common fixture of artist reality, I will ask again: Do you have what it takes? Are you seeking money or self gratification? Are you willing to plant the worlds most beautiful flower even if you know you may never live to see it bloom? The true question is, are you planting the flower for you or for the world to see? I’ll see you later where the eyes can’t perceive. PC3…..
